Should have seen todays follies. Rollback to within 1 mile of VAB and then turn it around back to pad. and then they close KSC and CCAFS for a little Tropical Storm for 30 August.

I was watching NasaTV. Was quite funny to see that they changed their minds.
The decision for the roll back to the VAB was made a couple hours too early and that pushes the launch back for more than a week.
Now that's a real bad decision they made.
Now they are in a rush to get it airborn before the window closes.

alright - this is getting old.
Just got back home - we left last night around 6pm to drive to titusville - made it there around 11.30pm - left the hotel WITHOUT checking the news @ 6.30am & get to KSC just to be surprised by nearly NO traffic at all .... and seeing the LED bill boards that read

"TODAYS LAUNCH SCRUBBED"

so @ about 8am we got back on the interstate & headed home/work.

I know that feeling.

I have been there so many times and have never managed to see a launch, not the Shuttle, not a Delta, nothing.

But one morning I heared the Shuttle coming back though.

Sorry I have been so busy and not posted for awhile.

Delta II / STEREO going to launch here in about 6 1/2 hours. Going on console in a few minutes. Should be clear so a few Floridians and maybe a little north of FLorida might see it. Two spacecraft, one leading and one trailing Earth looking at the sun.

http://spaceflightnow.com/delta/d319/status.html for live updates. Supposed to be on HDNet as well but I do not have URL at hand

TOD is over and was great - will have to update signature

For you left coasters interested in space launches:

A global weather observatory for the U.S. military is scheduled for launch early Saturday aboard a Boeing Delta 4 rocket.

Liftoff from California's Vandenberg Air Force Base is scheduled for 5:52 a.m. local time (8:52 a.m. EST; 1352 GMT). The available window to launch extends 10 minutes.

-- Right coasters our next launch is currently scheduled for 14 Nov at 2:25 EST, a Delta II/ GPS satellite, the third of the modified IIR types. This is my launch and I'm working it now trying to get ready.

Next Shuttle around 7 Dec

Wasn't that something I was watching a realtime feed when bam, pow all he!! broke loose. Hard to believe they claim the platform sustained "minimal" damage.
