I just sold a golf bag on eBay, and after the buyer paid me via paypal I get an email stating that in an attempt to make eBay safer, paypal is holding all auction payments until the buyer confirms that the item has arrived, or leaves you positive feedback. Absolute crap. I have $250 in my paypal account that I cant touch until the buyer acts....
That happened to me but the buyer cancelled his ebay account so he wouldnt leave feedback.
I called paypal and told them the story and had a confirmation number to prove the item was delivered.
I hate selling on ebay!

Also, Ebay automatically draft money from my bank account through paypal
without my permission for the ebay fees!!!!
I recently sold 3 items about $800 worth and the ebay drafted about $140
fee without my permission.
Is this allowed? I was planning to pay at the end of month............
I guess they wanted my money real bad(They drafted after 15 days of sale)
without my permission for the ebay fees!!!!

Yes, fees are immediately deducted when your items have sold.
I sold an item on ebay, and the buyer paid via paypal.
One real example is psp I sold 2 weeks ago.
It sold for $92 I believe and paypal deducted their fee about $8.
So I ended up $84ish and I successfully transferred to my bank account.
No ebay fees were deducted from my payment.
Couple days later, I received an Ebay invoice about the listing fees and sales fees etc.
I didn't pay right away due to 2 more listings end in couple days. Once my other 2 items sold
and received the payments, I received another ebay invoice including all of my items being sold.
The fee was about $140. And I was planning to pay at the end of month, however,
after a week they sent the invoice, the ebay without my permission drafted $140 via paypal.
I'm not upset to pay the fees, but rather surprsied they can access to my account without my permission.
What if I didn't have enough money to pay $140 because I transferred all the money to different account/spent all?
I would end up paying $45 overdraft fee. It's not like I didn't pay for a full month. It's been only 7 business days
since they sent me the invoice!!
It's not a monthly renew subscription where I AGREE to deduct it automatically.
I don't know if the agreement when you first open an account with Ebay state this...
Well, I love to buy from ebay but hate to sell it now

Oh and I forgot to tell you. I had a paypal account with over 180 transactions. I would sell sports cards. Well one day I sold a $900+ card and paypal saw it as abnormal activity. So they LOCKED my account. They said I needed to mail in proof to them. I did and got on the phone with them all the time. They never unlocked my damn account and then eventually CLOSED it. All of those transactions went against me and I had to start all over.

Using the same company ebay/paypal for the transaction it seems a little unfair that both sides take a slice but then they are in the business of making money, they only want you to make enough to keep you selling.

Paypal is big money to a lot of folks. As of April 29 the San Jose, Calif.-based company cleared $2.02 billion in revenue for the quarter, representing a $171 million loss year-over-year. Yikees!
