This is the TV I have:

It has amazing picture..but I do admit I'm still not used to the backlight. Its really bright and sometimes when the screen is all black(in movies lets say) I can see the backlight. Its annoying.
And it only has 1 audio input - which I found out I won't even need. If I want to listen to PC sound I have to connect the PC soundcard to the the speakers with a 3.5mm cable..and if I want to listen to sound when playing my PS3 - I have to use the standard Red/White/Yellow - plug it in the back of the PS3 and then the Red/White into a RCA adapter (which came with the speakers) - and then the RCA adapter to the back of the PC speakers. It might sound complicated - but it isn't.

those speakers need a pre-amp output or an amplifier. Your computer offers a preamp output. Your TV does not. It has built in speakers, which are preamped obviously, so it is assumed you will be adding an amplifier (reciever) when adding external speakers.

The speakers don't need an amp - they have BasXPort built-in which enhance the bass. They're amazing..I recommend them to any1 that's looking for great quality pc speakers that aren't too big or need an amp. I got them on provantage.com At the beginning they might sound weird but once they break-in WOW probably the best pc speakers out there
