My Ride: 2008 Alpine White 550i Sport, Cream Beige Interior, 6-Sp Manual - retired 9/2011
I was playing blackjack today at Mountaineer Race Track & Casino in West Virginia and ended up chatting it up & having a great time with some guy named R.J. I didn't get a last name. He happened to mention that he played for one season with the Steelers and 2 seasons with the Browns as a fullback and special teams player and that he went to Grove City College and was from Middlesex, PA.
When I got home, I googled the intials R.J., Steelers, etc. Well, it turns out his name is R.J. Bowers. I know what you are thinking..."I never heard of him." Obviously he didn't make it big in the pros (only played 8 games total in 3 seasons w/ 1 touchdown and didn't do anything with the Browns), BUT his college stats were and are, well, tops in the NCAA:
He reigns as NCAA football's all-time leading rusher with 7,353 yards and all-time leading scorer with 562 points, all-time NCAA touchdown scorer with 92...along with 5 other NCAA records...8 NCAA all-divisions records in all. He didn't start his college career until age 23, due to playing 6 years of minor league baseball with the Astros.
I didn't even believe this guy was who he said until I found this info online. I figured he was just BS'ing me when he "modestly" mentioned he played ball for the Steelers and Browns! He was a real nice guy, though!
Oh, did I mention I won a cool $1K?!
Some of his info, pics and stats below if interested.

I was suprised to see him in the tourney to begin with, it was only $300 buy-in.

Never got into a huge pot with him. It was early in the tournament, eventually I got moved to another table.
