Personally, I find that I'm MORE creative after the picture has been taken with Photoshop!! 
I dont used PS any more unless I do some kind of design work on the photos.
I use Lightroom which is much better for photo retouching.

These were taken with the 50mm 1.4
(and a great photographer)
