Within one hour yesterday they f@#$#@g managed to scratch my car in three different spots on both sides, i was so pissed. I love new york but it's just crazy to park on the street.
By the way is there a member in astoria with a grey 545i with an M kit, and i think i saw a member with a white 550i downtown on spring street.

The parking garages are no better, you get holes in your rear bumper from the front license plate screw heads from the car behind you. My last three cars have NEVER been parked in Manhattan, always take the train now because of it.

I concur. Logic dictates that parkng in New York, or any other major city, should be at your own risk. Damage to your car should always be expected and you should be pleasantly surprised when there is no damage. It's the truth. If this is not something you can bear, you should either take the second car to the city or take public transportation. Sorry to hear about the damage. I feel your pain, bro.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Nick. I concur about parking in NY. Last time I drove around the city, I had a Hyundai rental, which was a real banger-up.

Yea the parking lots sucks. So far I have a bad scratch from the front driver to the rear fender. Also they curbed one my rear wheel. Thank god it's not that bad.

That's why my BMW's never, EVER go into Manhattan. And you parked on the street? Are you nuts?!?!?!?! I have a city car (Durango), which is truly my "city car". For all I care, it can get stolen and I won't lose sleep over it. The bumpers have their fair share of marks and a few door dings on each side. If you live outside Manhattan, but frequent it often and choose to drive, you must have a "city car". Otherwise, it's inevitable that your car will get damaged.

Sorry to hear about this Nick. Total bummer.
