Thumbs up

This is my first attempt at a poll, so I hope this works...

Given the rather contentious post developing in the E60 forum, I'm curious as to the general opinion of the forum members, split between USA and rest of world.

I've kept the answers black and white deliberately - I know there will be people who say yes, but only after criminal record checks, training, etc, but I'd like a baseline opinion - yes or no.

I'm pretty sure I know what the outcome will be, but it would be interesting to find out how polarised opinion is. I'm going to make a guess - 80/20 for USA, and 20/80 for elsewhere.

Oh, and given we've already got one argument thread going, be nice if this didn't develop into one

Voted yes although I don't own a gun. Nice to have the freedom of choice.

A gun needs a gun to cope with, so my question is

Is there any war inside US? or, just the old known trend continuous?

Voted No

I mean that if someone has a gun during a brawl, you also need to have a gun, otherwise no hope to live.

Conclusion: too much guns over there...

I voted "Yes, from elsewhere" although I should have voted 'in the States' since I'm from LA.... but I live in Taiwan so....

Well, I think that strong screening needs to be done to weed out the nutcases but, yeah, I do believe in our constitutional rights including the right to bear arms.... I'd definitely be armed if I were still living in LA but here in Taipei, it's not necessary since almost everyone doesn't have a gun and not to mention it's illegal.
