How is China gonna be in "deeeeeeeep $hit"? And why are you laughing?
if it was CG then the world would say China is cheep and can not do a good job.
And alot of bizzness ppl would just walk away from China.
But I know China can do any thing so I know they would not use CG to do it.
China has done a very good job on the 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremony full stop

I don't think anyone is saying they didn't do an incredible job but that doesn't mean they didn't choose to use CG for the footsteps. I'm sure they could've done it "live" with real fireworks but for whatever reason, they chose not to.

It sounds as if you're convinced that they didn't use CG -- if so, can you find any proof that they did it live?

Maybe because they wanted to also prove that they have the ability to accomplish something that's high-tech and not from the stone age?

well I know that China is the most hi tec in the world right now.
They have all the new stuff that HK, US, UK dont have.
They got mobile 4G, the fastest train, mobile phones which built-in TV.

Although I'm not too sure that they have much of a 4G deployment beyond the Olympic zone, you have to remember that the US (as well as other countries) have had 1G, 2G, and 3G for many years now. I'd much rather have a robust deployment of a slightly older technology than to have a small footprint of the latest, cutting-edge technology. In other words, how many people in China had cellular phones in the '80s? The '90s? My cell phone may not give me television right now but then again, I'm not so sure I need to watch television on my phone at all...
