off to france europe next few weeks and i have got 4 days to get from calais to paris so i was going to go the long way round, any suggestion on where to head for germany etc and how far could i make in four days without killing myselfand family with to much driving, we arrive on the eurotunnel thurs evening need to ba at disney for monday night.

You didn't say what type of sights you are interested in, so here's a variety. You can head up the coast to the mideval town of Brugge; walled city, great tours, typical shopping, etc. From there Brussels is only an hour or so away.

From Brussels, Koln is about 3hours. It has marvelous cathedral and 2-3 nice museums.

From there you can loop SW to Trier, Germany's oldest city.

You can work your way west towar Paris with a stop at Verdun, famous WWI battlefied that saw over 130,000 killed/wounded in a battle that meant essentially nothing but manhood bragging rights for German and French generals. Very moving.

should be able to do all that in 4 days/3 nts and a little quicker if you want.
