Seeing this I regret my switch to canon again?

Or should I get a 5D now, that has full frame sensor and 12Mp and keep my 20D for the
tele stuff?

You shouldn't have any regrets. Both manufacturers are at the top of their game and produce great pictures.

One of the major reasons I stay with Nikon is because I'm familiar with their system. Their menus are essentially the same formats from their Coolpix line to their professional D-SLR's, so I can jump from one camera to the next without spending a tremendous time looking for adjustments (i.e. ISO, aperture, single focus vs. continuous, bracketing, etc.). Plus (and this is a big "plus" for me) I've got Nikon glass.

I'd gladly buy a Canon body if they ever decide to make an F-type mount, but asking them to do this is like asking BMW's M division to put SMG III in a E-class.
