In NY the limit is 70%.....so pretty much all tint is illegal.

Did that many years ago. I still like to visit but after a few days I'm ready to go.

Man, all I wanna do is drink my super large sugary soda in the comfy confines of my tinted E60. Sheesh.

I have had two cars with tinted windows. On both, I removed the tint within a week. While the cars looked fantastic and kept cooler in the sun, I always felt like I was wearing sunglasses, especially after dusk. None of the shops around here do a very slight tint, which would have been great for the driver and front passenger windows. In PA, any tint on driver and front passenger window (and windshield of course) is illegal.

Since I do a bit of local driving, I always guess when I get to a stop sign when there are other cars with tinted windows. You can't make eye contact, or even tell if the driver's head is pointed in the right direction. Worse if the windshield is tinted

Just my opinion, not trying to offend anyone. If I could get a very slight tint, I might go for it.

The vehicle is physically connected to the inspection computer which just reads data. This stupid law just requires an observation to be conducted by the agent. There are hundreds of inspection places who are willing to make the 'proper' observation so that they won't lose business to the guy next door.
