The priest of a small Irish village had a pet Rooster.
One Saturday he noticed the rooster was missing. He suspected it had been stolen to be used in cockfighting.
At Mass, the next morning, he asked the congregation a question. 'Has anyone got a cock?
All the men stood up.
'No,no,' he said, 'that wasn't what I really meant. Has anyone seen a cock?'
All the women stood up.
'No,no', he said, 'that wasn't what I meant either. Has anyone seen a cock that doesn't belong to them?'
Half the women stood up.
