Yeah, nice car.

Got a chance to test drive the Elise - awesome car, makes you feel like you're glued to the road with slicks.

But both Elise and Exige are butt ugly.

No kidding. A great performer and at a great price. Alas, I think it's the aesthetics and functionality that prevents these cars from selling well. They're not very practical for a daily driver. The Exige is basically a track car.

My friend has an Elise - great car. Silly grip - I've never experienced anything like it, and I've been in some insane cars. Very spartan though - I could never live with it.

Yeah, about as comfortable as sitting on a park bench and riding in one gives you as much comfort as sitting next to the airplane engine in the coach section.

My friend has an Elise and absolutely loves it despite the fact he is 6'5" tall.

Just read about the Caterham CSR260 in Automobile magazine (see link below for pics) - Wow! If one can put up with tiny, spartan interiors and zero safety features, the Caterham blows away the Lotus - and it is available in the U.S.

Data:
US$67,000
1,315 pounds
260bhp
7800 rpm redline
0-60 in 3.1 seconds
