"Lesson lernt - never driving tipsy again."

Folks, Suchet made a dumb move. His actions could have lead to a far more dire result. He's had a pretty good bashing about it and is contrite/remorseful. However, we should not scarlett letter him because of his mistake. He seems genuinely remorseful about it, and has taken steps to ensure it wont happen again. He's not trying to justify drunk driving - to the contrary he realized it to be a stupid, costly thing to do. I don't think personal character attacks are warranted here. Had he been like the gentleman who thinks he can drive normally in spite of his intoxication, then there'd be a problem. He fessed up to his mistake and won't repeat it. We should be thankful/grateful for that, as far too many out there don't (and THOSE are the folks that cause most of the DUI accidents - those in denial that repeat their behaviors).

+1. Enough already with the self-righteous attacks. The guy admitted his mistake and vowed not to do it again. What the hell else do you want, another pound of flesh?

three things:

1. I got no compassion/mercy for people who are incompetent at the wheel, whatever the reason may be.

2. Whenever I feel like I'm not able to drive (which is close to never, btw), I dunno, I take a cab, I get my boys to drop me off - whatever.

3. I hope not only you, but as many people as possible learn from this! Cuz if you guys start joking about some schmuck getting his ride impounded for drunk driving after this, I ain't sticking around this company

That said, be safe!
