my dad bought today a nice cd. it's called "Die Stereo H?rtest CD". It's really a pleasure to hear to this cd with L7. turn it loud and enjoy. we did this today and it was superb! you can really hear the basso, also the heights. we have vol. 3, vol. 4 is also available. here the playlist of vol.3:

1. Dance Of The Tumblers
2. The Telephone Song
3. Isn't She Lovely
4. Days Of Reckoning
5. Strings On Fire!
6. Faithless Lover
7. Cha Cha Bonita
8. I'm All Smiles
9. The River
10. Albinonis "Adagio"
11. Dindi
12. Meninas
13. Love's Another Colour
14. Tricycle
15. In The Fall
16. Cossack Dance

...and here the playlist for vol.4:

1. Parade Of The Charioteers
2. Light My Fire
3. I Like Jersey Best
4. Moon In Your Hair
5. You
6. Hjaoningar?ma
7. After The Rain
8. Estate
9. My Medea
10. Arabesque
11. Diver Boy
12. Rising In Love
13. Angel Dust
14. La Cucaracha
15. Danse Macabre, Op. 40

there are many classical songs, also blues and so on. if you are interested, use
this this
link for vol.3 or
this this
link for vol.4. you can buy it at amazon.de. i haven't found the cd at amazon.com, but amazon.de will forward the goods worldwide. the cd plus shipping is 32,49?, approximately 27$.

maybe you can consider a group buying because of the high postage

Speaking of good L7 content...

I've been interested in finding encoders that can properly "hint" for pseudo-discrete logic circuit stuff like L7 and DPLII. I know some of the switches in LAME can do it, and that there are proprietary encoders for L7 and DPLII that studios can use to help optimize stereo content. Some video games make use of this heavily.

Specifically, I'd like to be able to encode my multichannel collection into hinted stereo MP3s so that L7 can make more of the mix. It wouldn't be as good as the original multichannel mix, but it would be far better than non-hinted stereo.

Does anyone keep up with this stuff?
