Actually they do, some companies out there offer warranties until your car is 10yrs old or over 200K miles. Definitely look into it.
too late now..

Make a video or a site, and spread the word to give some bad PR to the dealership.

UPDATE: BMW will not cover the replacement, they offered to pay 1000 of it. FUCK CREVIER BMW. They lost all my current business and my future business. Never again will I take my E60 and E92 to them. Anyone else have any clue to what else I can do, I'm waiting for a call back from my Service Adviser's Manager's Manager now. Next step is to contact the California Bureau of Automtive Repair. Then go in to the dealership and raise some hell in front of their other customers.
Sorry to hear that, Steven. I suggest you call BMW customer service to complain and fax them the invoice showing you were there before the 100k for the issues on the tranny. If this doesn't work, seek legal advice.

+1 Call BMW of North America and complain, tell them the specifics and remind them of what a great customer you are, all the BMW's you've owned etc. Chances are they will at the very least look into the dealership and with a little luck (and persuasion on your part) they will cover the transmission as you DID report an issue with it BEFORE the warranty expired! Also this way, you can screw Crevier right back!! Good luck my friend and let us know how this turns out!!

Don't worry Brett, it mainly happens to 2006 530i's, so you should be safe....what year is your car??

+1 on bad service for Crevier. I took my car for the passenger airbag malfunction floor mat and they just suck, they are as helpless as my plant in my living room. They have so many people there all the time that their customer service goes out the window.
I now go to Sterling in NB, it's like night and day. Those guys rock!
Any updates on the tranny issue?
