BMW replaced my transmission a few months ago, and it cost THEM $6,500.00, so it's not a SMALL repair!
This is why I lease. When the warranty is over, I dump my car for a new one. A major repair on a Bimmer is so expensive. I once owned a car that broke down so much and cost me soo much money in repairs that, from that point on, I've always leased.

I join the others in saying that it should be covered because you raised the issue before the 100K mark. Good luck!!

BMW also replaced my auto tranny about a year ago. Luckily covered under warranty. It seems to me, no matter what model, the tranny is always the weak link in BMW's.

UPDATE: BMW will not cover the replacement, they offered to pay 1000 of it. FUCK CREVIER BMW. They lost all my current business and my future business. Never again will I take my E60 and E92 to them. Anyone else have any clue to what else I can do, I'm waiting for a call back from my Service Adviser's Manager's Manager now. Next step is to contact the California Bureau of Automtive Repair. Then go in to the dealership and raise some hell in front of their other customers.

Damn, sorry to hear that, good luck with the warranty. Man, am I glad I have the BMW warranty to 100K, if I ever get there I will buy another warranty when this one gets close to expiration. I don't even want to imagine what a new tranny costs

I don't think they offer another warranty that goes above 100k

Actually they do, some companies out there offer warranties until your car is 10yrs old or over 200K miles. Definitely look into it.
