My Ride: 530iA Silver Grey , black interior. Premium Package, Navigation System, Head-up Display, Radio Satellite, Adaptive Xenon Headlights. AC Schnitzer Front Lip, H&R springs, Rear red reflector, All season Floor mat,
I just got a speeding ticket and guess what.. I wasn't even SPEEDING at all. I was cruising at the speed limit (35mph) and a bloody *&*@*#! cop pulled me over. At first i thought she pulled me over just to check if i was drunk, but u know what.. SHE CLAIMED THAT I WAS GOING AT 50mph! I was so furious and she said she was pacing me at 50mph!! OMFG i didn't even hit the 40mph mark and she claimed that she was pacing me at 50mph. She didn't even look at me while she was talking and it's definite that she was lying! She said if i wanted to complain anything, just do it in court. She's really one bloody M*@!*$!F*@!$ER.
I would like to seek an advice from you guys.. PLEASE HELP! I apologize for the bad language used, i'm really furious about it and felt that these whole matter was really unfair to me.

Is it not necessary in the USA to produce evidence?
In the UK I believe it would normally be 2 officers present if being prosecuted based upon use of the police vehicle speedometer, and then the speedometer would need to have been checked/calibrated on the date in question. Nowadays many more convictions are achieved through the use of radar guns and cameras - it's not worth police time to follow anyone!

If you are innocent, then contest it. But it's highly unlikely that it was out of jealousy. Not saying you are guilty, but most of the claims posted on boards are blown out of proportion anyways. Advice here won't do you much good.

I don't know how it works in your state, but here in Rhode Island (yes I know it's small) 
if you contest a ticket, the cop has to show up in court and if they don't then it gets thrown out. I know that alot of the time they don't show up here. I would contest it if that's the case. If she doesn't show up maybe it'll get thrown out.

I think this is true in all 50 states.
The fact that she didn't use radar, and that there were no speed traps, gives you a fighting chance in court. You should always take it to court, even if you do lose, ask for adjudication withheld and it won't show in your record.

Show up in court and fight it. You might not `win' but I think chances are good that it could get reduced. She will also have to prove that her speedometer was recently calibrated. If it was a local police officer then you have a shot since they're not generally on top of things like that. If it was a state trooper then your chances are small since almost all they do is hand out speeding tickets. Another thing to get checked is your own speedometer. Generally BMW speedo's tend to show that you're going faster than actuall speed but if it's off and get it fixed bring the documentation to court and it might help get the charges reduced. Remember it's not always the cost of the ticket itself but the cost of the insurance premiums.
