Matsuhisa Restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA (we did the flooring there ), or try Urasawa in Beverly Hills (pricey also, in the range of $250~$300 per person).

Thanks! Urasawa will be so good as the price?

If you like Sushi, I'm sure it'll be good, but if you like the atmosphere, a better bet might be Matsuhisa.

If you'll be near downtown Los Angeles, I'd recommend the following:

Hama Sushi
347 E 2nd St
Los Angeles, CA 90012
(213) 680-3454

They have the highest quality fish I've ever eaten. It's not a fancy place, so don't expect to be fine dining. But if you want the freshest tasting sushi and don't want to break your piggy bank, I'd highly recommend it. It's a small sushi bar, so they tend to get crowded. I'd get there right @ 5:30pm when they open.

Shabu Shabu House Restaurant
127 Japanese Village Plz Mall
Los Angeles, CA 90012
(213) 680-3890

One of the oldest restaurants in the J-Town and they have the highest quality meat for Shabu Shabu. They use premium cuts of thinly sliced USDA rib-eye. Again, not a place for fine dining, but if you want some good eats... I'd highly recommend it. The waiting list here gets to be 2 pages long before they even open, so get there before 5:30pm to reserve your seats!

I live in downtown LA, so if you'd like some company for dinner... I'd be happy to join you!

Hi Iceman,

How are you doing? Almost 18 months from our meeting. When we will have another one?

And yes it is time to expand ...

In fact it is my business, and for us it is time to growing up.

I will need to visit some places to study the US market and tendencies.

Thanks again!

Great tips. When you come to Brazil you will have an opportunity to compare which one is the best and freshest sushi. How good is Hama's shari (sushi rice) quality?

We also have Shabu Shabu in our menu. Here it serves 2/3 people.

Thanks for your invitation, after I finish my trip plan I will contact you. I will be glad to meet you.

Cheers,

Alex

Wonderful! I would love to visit Brazil one of these days and enjoy the local cuisine. The freshest fish is always in the towns nearest the coast.

I say the rice quality @ Hama is above average. I didn't pay much attention to it though because I was so busy enjoying on the taste and textures of the fish.

PM me your itinerary once you have it finalized and I'll see if I can clear my schedule for you!
