Speeding hasn't been a problem for us in France either

Some years ago we cruised in our new 528i from Geneva to Nice at an average speed of approximately 150-170 km/h Considering stops etc. I'd say we had a pretty decent speed. However, the latter years we've been a bit more careful not to exceed 200km/h in France.

I paid little attention to speed limits when in Europe (continent) in July. Was driving my E60 with Gernan Tourist plates. There were several stretches in Italy, France and Spain where I was cruising in excess of 110mph. So the question is should I be expecting something in the mail from the authorities? It has been 5 months and nothing yet but the since they sleep alot over there, I thought they just might be delayed. Or was I just lucky?

Just been reading about the new scam to evade camera fines. Get some plates form another country. The cops don't bother sending fines overseas.

I have some temporary issue Belgian plates in my garage fom a BMW 323Ci that I imported new in 2000. I've often thought about sticking them on my car then blasting past speed cameras for the sheer hell of it but I've always bottled out of it.

You don't need to expect anything.
It's too long ago anyways, and even if you'd get a ticket they can't do anything if you don't pay.
Our authorities doesn't sleep when they can rip you off, so I think you were lucky!

Uh, I wasn't referring to your authorities. I didn't exceed the speed limit on the autobahn. What speed limit? It's the sleepy Joes to the south I was wondering about.
