John, a good workout routine with cardio and weights will help you burn off the weight. Those diets are all crap, eventually you have to go back to eating normally and then the weight comes right back (usually with some extra tacked on). Exercise and reasonable meals are the only way to lose weight and keep it off.

I gained too much weight on the cruise. Just bought the Hollywood Diet thing. I hope this works. I am so tired from not having food. Passing by McDonalds, Popeyes, KFC, etc does not help!!!
Man, I need a Hollywood diet too. I love that Popeys!LOL!

stop eating simple carbs. simple carbs are all white flour based foods for the most part. eat 100% whole wheat foods. complex carbs (whole wheat) are a better source of good energy and balanced with the right amount of protein will keep you full longer. Also stop drinking regular pop if you do. Any time you take in sugars that you dont burn they basically turn to fat instantly.

when it comes to exercising to shrink your fat cells it takes 20 mins of cardio to start the shrinking/burning process. Working out for 15 mins will only burn what you have consumed that day. If you can get up early and do cardio workouts (ideally 45 mins-60mins) on an empty stomach it is an ideal way to burn fat. When burning fat you cannot spot lose fat.

supplements do work when you take them along with a good diet and consistent workouts. A multi vitamin (liquid vitamins are the best because the absorption rate is better) is a good start. Meal replacement protein shakes are really good to supplement food in your diet. Lastly people who take calcium supplements have been proven to lose more weight than those who didnt and had the same workout and diet plan. (mens health article i read)

When trying to lose weight a good way to stay on track is to keep a food log, and workout log. Tracking what you do every day can be very helpful and rewarding once you start to see the results.

There are healthy and unhealthy ways to lose weight. Using extreme/crash diets are not a good way to lose weight. Healthy weight loss is said to be 2-3 pounds a week. Losing weight to fast typically will come back as pj said. You said yourself that this diet has been a shock to you. Think of the shock to your body when you return back to the unhealthy eating habits. Losing weight and being healthy is a lifestyle not a 3 month crash diet.

When ur on a cruise and u see a breakfast buffet of your favorite bacon, it's hard not to get one plateful. Sometimes I had two plates!!! LOL But at least one plate every morning. I dont eat bacon that much now... haha

Hmm...how do I calculate how much I burn? Post up more jokes here. I heard laughing burns a lot of calories but jolly people are always fat for some reason.

u HAVE to go on a cruise. Next year, I plan on going to the Norwegian Epic. That ship looks NIIIIICE
