[/quote]he didn't say that it is 500% of what it was 24 hours ago .. he just said that it went UP 5 times in the past 24 hours .. what if every time it went up it only increased by $0.05 - then it was $6.75/GAL before ;-)

and 75% of the gas stations in town are dry already, some don't expect new drops until tuesday, possibly as late as 7 days from today.
On the better side of things, even though the shortage down here, we have NOT seen price gauging going on too much, not to the extend that is happening in ATL, NY & other large cities around the Eastern states. I just got 76 Gallons (after the attendant came out screaming .. telling me to stop pumping!) and paid about $230 .. right at $2.98/GAL i believe.
