urg ... aren't we all glad that all of the bad weather is traveling on the EAST side fo the storm?
we've seen some major flooding around here now .. several canals went over & put entire neighborhoods & houses underwater.

and as we all know ... "one mans fortune, is another mans UNfortune" .. with that being said ... i am very glad that we did not get another direct hit - HOWEVER do NOT wish it upon anybody else ... afterall .. we went through 4 last year.
most of the southern coast (AL/MS/LS) is being evacuated as of this AM ... mandetory ... and this time i would do it too if i were in the area effected.
this is a LARGE, and even worse .. SLOW moving storm - its down to 14MPH now. its approximately 550 miles wide in diameter.
We lost power last night @ about 11.15AM for roughly 3 hours - and have been fine since. Part of the power has been restored in the Keys as well.
