Well, we booked what we hope is a happy ending to our NCL Dawn adventure.

Using the discount that NCL gave us for the Dawn debacle, I booked a 7 day cruise over President's week on the NCL Pearl from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean.

Due to the size of the discount and given that NCL had already dropped the regulaar rate for the cabin, we booked the Garden Villa. Victor is very excited. Hopefully, no power outage or CNN interview this time.

Ports are Semana, Tortola, St. Thomas and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.

For you I hope you have a great trip.

For me I hope to come and go from this earth without ever setting foot on a cruise ship.

Thanks.

Cruising is definitely not for everyone. I mever had any interest in going on a cruise but I thought that Victor would enjoy it; which he does. The November 2009 cruise was my first and up until the power outage, it was much more fun than I thought it would be. But my ideal vacation is going to a new huge city and spending a week or more there as my wife I are oing in Toylo in April.

I hope you have a trouble free cruise this time. I enjoyed the 2 I've been on. St. Thomas and Tortola were on my first one. Here are some pics. First 3 pics are Tortola, the 3rd one was a spectacular view that I had to take a pic thru a van window. 4th-6th pics are St Thomas.

Thanks Richard. Beautiful pics. We really liked Tortola when we went there on the November cruise. This time, we are going to take a taxi to Cane Garden Bay and spend the whole day on the beach. Last time we made the mistake of taking the shore excursion, which only gave us about an hour on the beach there. Which beach in Tortola did you take in your picture?

Congrats Scott!

I hope you have lots of fun and you can enjoy this cruise.
Garden Villa...

I bet at the end you want to stay and they need to call the cops to get you off the ship.

Yes I really wanted to stay at a Garden Villa at least once and the many discounts brought it down to around the price of a full fare large Courtyard Villa. I doubt that I could ever get it again for this price.

And yes, the police will have to drag me kicking and screaming out of the Garden Villa.

I believe it was Cane Garden Bay. It was a while back, December '02. I had to dig thru the info and maps.

Cane Garden Bay is such a beautiful place. I am very excited to spend a whole day there and not be controlled by the short shore excursion schedule.
