I support more the team then the drivers. Most of the drivers are very equal in performances but if one has a perfect sustaining team than that driver wins. Schumacher is almost nothing without a proper car, a proper team and so on...
It amaizes me how many people here even though have a bimmer and most of them apparently are bmw fanatics, choose to support other teams in F1. Mclaren, or Ferrari or whatever. A poll on this subject might be interesting.
Very good point about the lack of BMW F1 support from members. However, I actually think this speaks to the rationality/objectivity of our members.

Psychology has shown most people to be irrational in their behavior based on their association. For example: people tend to hire candidates from their alma mater even if less qualified, people invest disporportionately in the stock of their own company (Enron employees having 80% of their net worth in the shares) and the local sports team is often their favorite (Boston Celtics, NY Knicks).

It seems E60 members can objectively determine the best teams/drivers on their own.

I am glad the wait is over and F1 is back!
I just watched Qualifying and I have to say the new format is awsome! A ton more excitement and fun than the old format of 1-lap qualifying.
And...my man Schumi is back from the dead!
Let's hope it lasts and was not just a 1-day wonder.

Let's hope it still remains dead. I can't stand that man. As a pilot he's good...getting a bit old, but he's good we have to give him credit. But his character...uhhhh.

Go BMW Sauber. That should be the spirit. Not go "whomever is the best"
I hate when people support a team or a driver when in top shape and change their support when it goes down or just has a bad season. I bet u all that if bmw sauber should give outstanding results this year or wins the driver championship (ipotethicly) alot of ferrari/renault/mclaren supporters from the e60 board would consider supporting the BMW F1 team.

Yes, this happens everywhere, but it is inevitable in sports...and not just motorsports (especially any game with a ball ). It's called "hopping on the bandwagon" here in the US.

As for me, my support goes for the BMW-Sauber team. I remember Jack when he was racing in the Indy league in the US and I hope he is actually the top driver for BMW this season.

Interesting race...some nice duels. I didn't cath the part where Villeneuve abandoned. What happened?
Anyway...to cut it short.Modest results from BMW Sauber...i expected a bit more. Hope they will do better in the future. Nick Heidfeld should work more and perform better as for Villneuve well hope he earns his spot as one of the drivers on this team.
Very happy for Alonso, i really like that driver and as a man too, really tought Michael respect . Nice one...
Massa was such a bonehead with that manouver ....nearly cost Alonso the race. Schumacher must be eating his nails to the blood because the victory was that way taken from him. So in the end...congratulations to Renault F1 and Alonso.

Yeah that new driver really performed for his debut. But let's not draw conclusions yet...he is just at the begining and has ALOT more to go till he reaches the very cream.
Who care about the sheiks? I really have a weird attitude regarding those men. I find them i dunno, filthy...rich (both)
BTW talking about money can anyone care to estimate what's the investition in building a state of the art f1 circuit? 100 million? less? more? What about a normal circuit? Not that advanced as an F1 but similar in length. Similar to the nurburgring but way shorter!?
