Thanks vega.I had a nice quiet day, went out for a good dinner and after drooled over all the nice cars on the barrett/jackson auction.By the way how did you know it was my birthday(67)?

I know I haven't posted latley but I have been reading.I am very interested in the new step trans.I think it may be worth a couple of tenths 0-60 and the 1/4.

You will be. I can tell. Evidently you didn't promise anyone you would grow up, either. You seem to have a lot of fun and enjoy your Bimmer to the limit. Incidentally, I noticed that I became a lot ornerier since I reached octogenerian status.

Hey g-man. Happy B-day. Please have, or I at least I hope you had, a great one. OK, I now know it was a quiet one. But, quiet is good.

I haven't been around much as of late, but will get back one day soon. What new Step? I am thinking more about a new 550i, or whatever, when my lease is up in about 1 1/2 years. I have to get the logistics right so that I end up with the new HP for the engine, apparently the new Step, and the new styling. I am thinking of staying with BMW for several reasons: (1) I like my dealer; (2) I like what we call "free" service; (3) the new car will be fast enough (and, I'll still have the Z06--which could be modified a bit easily); (4) I want to hang here so the small ones can keep decreasing my star rating and I can keep annoying them; (5) my old/new wheels should fit; (6) I bought a pile of accessories for my car that should work on the new one; (7) I will get the BMWCCA discount; (8) I like the way my dealer deals; (9) the price of a 550i, or whatever, is right; (10) the insurance and tags are reasonably priced, (11) BMW will arrange for one to lease his or her current car longer to make the sorts of logistics I mentioned above work out; and (11) I still love my 545i.

I wish you many, many, many more happy birthdays.

Best, your good friend,

Don
