Hey Ed. Hope all's well. I think you should start out with a Desert Eagle. Look it up. You DO live in the desert.
Noted. But if I started to own everything desert-related, I'd be wearing a lot of turquoise and bolo ties

My Kimber 1911 is a nice range gun and in-the-nightstand gun, but the 1911's are way too big to carry...the full size ones that is.

Care to elaborate on the Sig, Doc? As I mentioned, I don't intend to just carry the thing around. But since you bring it up, what are (if any) the major disadvantages to say the HK45 to the 45C?

Ed, I'm a SigSauer guy too. I own a P226 .40cal and P6(P225)9mm German Police Issue at the moment. I have owned HK USP .45 and Walther P99 .40 , both nice weapons as well. I prefer handguns with metal frames as opposed to polymer.

LOVE my Sigs and you will too. Have I ever steered you wrong?

Alex hss the right mindset. What purpose wil it serve and how will you handle the weapon? You'ved got a lot of test drives ahead of you if your serious.

I've got a Baretta Px storm .40 cal, I have no choice in the matter. However my personal favorite is the Sig . Hate Glocks!
