997 GT3 and GT3 RS Rally cars

Some incredible driving, and what a noise! Also note that most of the cars have license plates - these guys are, by and large, street legal...

Awesome!!!

AFAIK Rally cars uses regular street when they are in-transit between stage(s) so all regular rules apply during touring en-route between stage(s) ... plates ... lights ... etc ... even speed limit.

They do sound really good. Did you notice that quite often they'd get bogged down, as if they had turbo lag or the driver was a gear too high. I know they're not turbo'ed, but that's what it seemed like.

You can't beat the legendary Group B cars of the 80s though.
a nice vid (and
) of some of them. Gives me goosebumps just watching the Group B's as I used to go watch 'em in the UK legs of the WRC. The RS200, the Metro 6R4, the Audi Quattro, the Lancia 037, Peugeot T16. Simply awesome. I wonder how they'd keep up with the modern day cars with their mega technology. The Group B's had twice (or 3 times) the power, but weren't so sophisticated.
