A Mac version is apparently underway. Since Chrome is built using WebKit (the same rendering engine as Safari) I'd hope this wouldn't take too long!

the goal of chrome is to be the fastest browser to process javascripts which google feels will be the future of computing. web applications are already taking over most programs these days.
at the moment it's still 2-3 times slower than firefox and safari for normal internet browsing and the javascript loading isn't much faster than firefox.
i'm not going to give it a shot until they have something worth switching from firefox for.
