Yup I use it as well. I actually I switch between IE8/FF3/Chrome frequently. I don't like Safari at all.

Hope they fixed it.. it was full of holes that were exploitable when it first released so I have not ever tried it again.

I liked it until I realised that you can't have different internet settings between IE and Chrome! Chrome uses whatever IE is set at, when you call up the Options it brings up the Windows (IE) dialog. How can that be right? I use my laptop on various networks and they all have different proxy and network settings. So rather than change the browser settings I just use different browsers.

It's not right...

Selecting Chrome options should bring up a new window with three specific tabs labeled basics, minor tweaks and under the hood.

The proxy settings in "under the hood" brings up the windows dialog because that's generic to the machine (and not just IE).

Yup choose under the hood -> Change Proxy settings and see what comes up.

see my edit. That's a generic windows setting... You also need to use the same dialog box to set things like your default browser etc.

Just to clarify, this is regarding the proxy settings feature between both browsers. By default, Chrome has it's own native Options page (window).

Not true. Firefox does not rely on any of the Windows settings, so why Chrome. For example I can tell FF not to use a proxy but set IE to use one - that works fine. I can't do that with Chrome and IE.

I am ... I use it for my usual browsing. I find that it's a lot faster than the usual FF and IE out there. However, when developing web applications, I switch to FF due to the numerous plug-ins that it allows for.

Yes but when you set the proxy in Chrome, IE takes that new setting too.
