One of the greatest actors in Hollywood. Not only a great actor, but a humanitarian and champion for worthy causes. His Newman's Own foundation has given somewhere near 250 million to different charities.

Finished 2nd at the 24 hours of Lemans and a class win at the 24 hours of Daytona. Got his start in SCCA with cars prepared by his neighbor (Scott Sharp's Dad) and won a couple of different classes during the 70's.

You will be missed.

I was at Lime Rock for a BMWCCA Drivers School in August. The talk in the paddock was that a day or two before they had closed the track so that Newman could take a few last laps at his home track. Everyone knew he didn't have a lot of time left but you have to admire a guy who is a racer to the end. God speed Paul Newman.
