In? Hong Kong here, I pay HKD$800=USD$105 to fill up my tank.

And the Insurance here is bad, but not worst, I have full NCB (around 60% of discount), and still cost me HKD$8000=USD$1050 per year.

Back to when I was in Toronto, the insurance was horrible, each year cost me $8000CAD=$12000USD for my M Roadster, when I have no claims record.

$1,050/year is not bad at all ! in fact, it's very reasonable .
$8,000 cad = $6,274.51 usd as of today. over $6,000/yr is very bad .

Thank you for your welcome...? To be real honest with you, I am glad to have my 530.? It is just the perfect size for me.

New Jersey may be the cheapest of any place regarding gas prices but, I read in MSN today that New Jersey was the priciest auto insurance state in the country, with motorists shelling out an average $1,182.54. New York kept pace with an average of $1,161.27 followed by the District of Columbia at $1,156.23.

You are correct. The insurance in NJ is the worst. It is a serious problem here. It is the highest in the US. That price you saw of $1,182 is very low by NJ standards. I have never had and accident or ticket, I am 35 years old, and I am paying about $1,800/year. My brother who is slightly younger has had one ticket for speeding (12 miles over the limit) and he is paying $2,700/year for JUST liability on a 5 year old Ford vehicle.

I pay about $900USD/year from State Farm. It's rated at less that 7.5k miles per year and a third car with perfect driving records and various other discounts.

I think she was refering to gf366's statement about gas and insurance prices. So she is implying that he is being scre#*d, hence, where is the vaseline.

I could be wrong of course. Certainly wouldn't be the first time.
