Just wanted to ask, if you know that the German Autobahn is due to Adolf Hitler? It was him, who induced building wide streets with a high speed limit. Since then those streets are called "Autobahn" and are marked with special signs:

Maybe you're a bit confused now but this is a fact.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a connection between VW and Hitler? Something about having a car for the people therefore "Volkswagon - The people's car?"

Yep (legend has it) he designed the beatle (the original Volkswagen) with help from Ferdinand Porsche:

If he'd only stuck to car design and stayed out of politics .....................

(By the way I just found this site on google - I haven't looked at it closely other than the relevant page - I don't think it's from a freaky hitler fanatic - but if it is I'm sorry)

Yep. Not everything in his head was BAD. The real bad boys were behind him, manipulating him. Anyways, it's good those days are over now.

The autobahn was actually designed as a system of interconnected roads. The Autobahn as we know it (flat, wide, and winding) was designed as airplane runways. Then it eventually became a way to pump money into the ecomony with slave labor, youth camps, etc.. You have to ask the Pope about the rest, HE WAS THERE BY HITLER'S SIDE.

He pushed it but the idea and start of construction came before A.H. came into power...

Actually a significant percentage of current autobahn system still has the original foundations built back then. Amazing.

BMW, Mercedes, VW, etc... All have connections with that era, more or less.
