But what happens if you're not slowly/gently trying to trigger it? For example, for whatever reason, your hand is flung at it, or say someone grabs your hand and shoves it into it?
I mean, I can see the benefit of it, but what's demonstrated is not realistic to how these type of accidents happen in real life.

They say it reacts in thousands of a second.
The cameras used are highspeed cams, so it looks much slower s is.
But that is the exact same question I was asking when seeing it.
Would love to see what happens when done faster...
I think it will injure you, but won't cut the finger off...
But who knows... I'm not going to try it...
