I wish we could go to a system more like Finland's where it takes 3 years of instruction to get a full license (not surprisingly they also lead in Rally Champions and F1 champions per capita).
I wouldn't go THAT far, it costs about 2000-3000 euros (EUROS!) to get your license in Germany...I wouldn't go that far, but in all honesty...this was my driving test, "Ok park over there. Nice job. Drive down that road, make a U-turn, take a right, make a 3 point turn, drive back" I SHIT YOU NOT...that was IT.

Last summer I was driving on a 4 lane highway (2 lanes in each direction, grassy median). I was approaching an intersection with no light or stop sign and there was a semi in the left turn lane. There was also a police car sitting in the median on the other side of the intersection and what looked like a surveyor wearing a yellow vest on the right side of the road.

The speed limit was 55 and I slowed down a bit since the semi was blinding me from seeing anyone who may try to turn accross or onto my side of the road. The surveyor noticed this and held his hand out for me to stop, which I did. So did the car in the left lane and the car behind me in the right lane.

Some tool who was driving behind the car stopped in the left lane wasn't paying attention and locked up his brakes. Not sure how he did it, but he skidded to a stop between the car in the left lane and the semi still sitting in the turn lane. Now here's the funny part. This moron decides to get out of his car and try to lock horns with the surveyor for stopping traffic - not noticing the police car sitting in the median...........turns out the "surveyor" was also a cop!

I wanted to stay and watch this idiot's day go from bad to worse but another cop (who was sitting in the police car the entire time) got out and starting directing traffic to move again while the "surveyor" was giving out a much deserved ass chewing. TFF!

What is it about Corollas and shithead drivers? It seems everytime I am behind the douche on the freeway who is talking on their cell phone (illegally up to their ear) and driving 50 in the left lane - it's a Corolla.

There's a reason for that Marc, people who drive minivans have given up on life. They are automotive suicide, they are marketed as "family movers" but they really are better described as gas powered depressants. That is why they infuriate other drivers on the road, they simply have lost the will to live and therefore could care less about your enjoyment of life.

A moment today. I was walking towards my car and I saw a kid run to a E46 BMW and shout at his mom "What the fuck are you doing in my car don't drive it ever what the hell is wrong with you?". His mom got out of the car and let him drive.
