smith and wollenskys is a copycat of peter lugers.. which IMO.. is the best around.. the one in brooklyn though.. as far as the two youve given us.. im a steak fanatic.. but i have never eating at either one.. lol.. so i cant help you.... wolfgangs is awesome too in nyc.. ahh... getting hungry

Ugh - do I have to pick between those 2? (Morton's and Ruth's)

I agree with the Peter Luger recommendation. IMO, the second-best in the US is Ray's the Steaks in Arlington, VA.


I'm usually partial to smaller places, having "done my time" at the large chains -

"Bones" in Atlanta
"Providence Prime" in Providence, RI
"Three Forks" in Dallas
"Bob's" in Dallas
"Flemming's"
"Metropolitan Grill" in Seattle, WA

never eaten at either...but i like McCormick and Schmicks in Kansas City and Donovan's in San Diego/La Jolla.
