I think it's great, a tad "fluffy" but very eye-catching and entertaining!

+1 to both these. clearly the competition is higher than ever. whatever way you can do it you need to get the focus on you. If you can go in after you submit your resume and charm the socks off them then they have seen you are creative, your going the extra "mile", and you set yourself apart from everyone else.

I can't tell you how many resumes I get to review that contain the most basic errors (spelling and grammar), are poorly formatted and full of typos.

With the job market being like it is, those ones rarely make it to the top of the pile...

That said, in a sea of generic and formulaic resumes, one like tex_phil posted would definitely get my attention.

Very creative, very clever, and it's done exactly what the guy set out to do.

no. it's not. there is currently a post about "ugly e60" in the e60 discussion forum. just because it gets attention doesnt make it great.

still not impressed. although as his potential employer it is important to know his sense of humor levels and his coffee intake levels over the years. oh this is just an example of his work? then why all the serious stuff like job/academics. i think the main problem here is that he started on a serious note and completed it on a light note. are these graphs representing him? or merely an example. i know it is hard for the general public to grasp this. i am surprised at the responses. some of the people that replied to this in a positive way i am surprised about, as i consider them above average intelligence based on their past posts. you know who you are i expected a little more analysis and criticism with regards to the presentation.

i would like to see the rest of his resume.

Um...No.

Almost all resumes are submitted online and are checked by a search engine that is looking for key words relating to the job.

It would probably get "noticed" by a human being if it ever made it that far. But unless the job offer was for some sort of computer presentation specialist - it would almost certainly go straight to the shredder.

Craigm has a valid point. Although this resume is cute and eye catching what job is he applying for, if it's for a bean counter or some type of computer work great, however if it's a job requiring strong physical skills and thinking on his feet a follow up face to face oral is required. Many candidates I have intrviewed in my past life looked great on paper but turned out to be real duds.
Feel free to correct my grammer and punctuation as needed.

Damn so many haters on this, I just posted it to share, not to go in depth about the guy. I don't know him. Craig feel free to call the guy and screen him if you are inclined to, his number is posted.

I'm a right-brain dominant individual working in a predominantly left-brain professional services environment and I do tend to appreciate things from a creative perspective rather than just focusing on content. Here, the originator is trying something unusual and is taking significant risks. More to the point, he's a creative professional and he's demonstrating skills in presenting information we're trained to expect to see in a standard form in non-traditional ways. As an entrepreneur, I simply appreciate the risks he's taking in his attempts to differentiate himself. Creativity, entrepreneurialism, differentiation and willingness to take calculated and reasonable risks are criteria I admire and look for in anyone we're looking to bring on board and I saw some of that in the guy's resume. His approach will most probably crash and burn with many organizations - but I strongly suspect that they're not the kind of place he's looking to join!
