I hear Cost Rica is a great destination, especially for those that like to hike, explore, etc. My sister spent 4 months in Guatemala as an exchange program in college and loved it. My homeboy dated a girl from Rio for quite a while. She was from a wealthy family and sent videos frequently. They had monkey feeders in the backyard, and wild parrots etc were the norm. She also sent videos of hang-gliding over Copacabana.
Hope to make South America myself one day. Maybe Carnival with the fellas.
