Computer question

My Ride: 2004 520i, mystic blue, steptronic, beige leather, pdc, bluetooth, rain sensor, BMW sport kit fitted, 18" 166 rep BMW rims , de-badged, cherished reg. chrome grill,

I know there are computer wizards out there so help me with this small problem
When I go to save a picture on my PC i am only given the option of Bitmap or art in drop down menu when I use the 'save as' option I used to have all sorts of options like jpeg etc so when I save I can't open the picture again i use windows xp any thoughts would be appreciated

if it only give you certain extensions it means that those are the only to programs that you have to save pics in, you can try to save it on a different extension like bmp or jpg or any other that you wish, all you have to is when you save it with a name then give it the extension that you want to save under. Example photo. jpg when you give it an name type at the end .jpg or .bmp. or .tiff

compunetexpress is right and to add one little bit of info ... if you save it in an extension not offered in the drop down menu (e.g., jpeg) this will mean you will not be able to access that file/photo on your current computer as it is currently configured.

norham, i think both compunetexpress and ipse dixit are correct. i had this "problem" before. btw, why did you put this question in the classifieds but not lounge ?
