Soooooo, since we have a ton of people from SoCal in here, I always wondered if Compton is even that dangerous??? .....iv been to LA but i'v never went for a drive or walk through compton.....It seems like its totally overexaggerated and it isnt even that dangerous? am i right?
Im off to LA in 2 weeks, id love to drive thru it, but i dont want to get my rental jacked at a traffic light lol.

Unless you have a lead foot, Irvine cops have nothing to do so you go there get pulled over like 5 cops show up. Makes you nervous

haha yehh, iv been to detroit, some areas are pretty ruff. ( i can imagine st.louis is the same)
Im curious to see what its like with the media hype and all.... but like u said, i dont have to, so i probably wont!

Compton is, well, different. Don't go there if you have no need to, nothing really to see anyway other than drug dealers and hookers. There are places just as bad, but I wouldn't recommend going to those places either (Gary, IN and East St.Louis to name 2, been to both and couldn't wait to leave). Compton is like that, if you're looking to see "how the other half lives" might I suggest watching some old NWA videos?

I've been to Detroit too ( it IS Gotham City from Batman), but Compton is worse. It's 8 mile without the charm.

Sounds like a good plan to stay outta there then! i'v been to a popeyes in inglewood before, i noticed it wasnt the best neigbourhood when i had to buy chicken through a bullet proof glass....UNHEARD of in canada
