So I've been trying to decide what I want to get next. I'm really torn what I should get.

I've been looking around on craigslist and found a e39 M5. I could technically afford a e60 m5 but the gas with the way I'd drive it would be so expensive and the insurance would be painful. So the e39 m5 looks like a good alternative. I love the way my car looks but it just is a bit underpowered being a 525, I need power. I found a 2001 in blue and peanut butter for around 11k. What do you guys think? I've thought about 335 but the HHFP problems scare me. I was going to check out the m5 on Saturday

Honestly I would get the 335i....who gives a crap about the HPFP? It's covered for free for 10 years 120000 miles!

That M5 is a good deal but the E39 looks too outdated now. What about a 545i or a 550i?

A ten y/o BMW, especially an M car, sounds like a money pit to me. 2 cents.

I fully agree............e39 M5's are still BADAZZ, but you'd better have a HUGE bank account and be ready to watch it dwindle!
