While I was on duty, a colleague of mine in the next sector ( Dutch sector ) - had
a pretty interesting situation.

This is what happens when you don't follow SOP's (standard operating procedures)
.....F16 was forced to intercept a Delta Airlines 767 in our controlled airspace.

Listen to this sound file....at the end you can hear from the fighter pilot "switches safe" : I'll let you draw your own conclusions to what that means.....scary !

Would love to know what the DL pilots were smoking and thought afterwards.

 

I could only imagine the armament loaded on that F-16! Oh I know someone needed a new pair of pilot pants!!
Hearing Switches Safe is a serious relief.
Speaking of armament, I get to start loading again this month after finallly catching up to all the office work!
