I was going down A6 (Germany - south of Mannheim) at a comfortable 120MPH yesterday and I see someone gaining on me. I had my wife fire up the camera just in case and lo and behold, there was a Porsche Carrera GT being chased by a F430 Ferrari. As the ol' saying goes, I felt I was up on blocks.
The sound was definitely an F1 sound and these guys had to've been going 180MPH or faster.
Check out the pics..

Love it!
The wonderful thing about the autobahn is that most parts don't have a speed limit, and they're built for safe driving at speed (smooth surface, curves and grade changes are very gradual, etc.), and the left lane is for passing (you won't get stuck behind some idiot going 50 MPH in the left lane who refuses to move over!).

Autobahn is the German equivalent of US Freeways. One slight difference however - in Germany most dont have a speed limit. Before you ask, the Germans have one of the lowest car accident fatality rates in the world.
