Well if the software needs to be in sight and d/led personally, that means that for that first youtube.com clip Rudy provided about the mother and daughter getting harrassed, its obviously one of her FRIENDS or EX-LOVER, right? Pretty much a giver but the video ends with not even knowin who the suspect is.

You can do something similar with the iPhone.
I have the ability to SSH into my (or my sisters) iPhone and execute a command to have it dial me (or whatever #) so I can listen.
Only works while she's on my Network, or VPN tho.

These cell phone viruses and spy wares have been out there for at least 5 years now.
But keeping the Blue Tooth off when not needed and not down loading
any unknown software in to your cell there's no problem.
Used to work for 5 years within the mobile industry.
