Anyone seen, in person, a shuttle landing at Edwards?

Before the Columbia accident, the shuttle used to pass right over New Orleans as it headed to land in Florida. Saw several night approaches where the trail of plasma the shuttle would leave as it streaked across the night sky was amazing. We would get the double sonic boom as well. You could only stare in wonder as it passed over head, likley still going several thousand miles per hour...

For Florida landings, the shuttle now approaches from the south so we don't get to see it anymore.
