I guess I have to try gambling in their casino. But I am pretty risk-adverse so I doubt that I would ever gamble enough to garner a free invite.

I am looking forward to those front windows!

You can search for "Nezmo" who cruised in 9200 and before that posted pics of 9199 allready.
Searching for those cabin numbers will return the desired results too.

My wife would kill me if I start gambling, knowing my "luck"...

I'll search my room number (11060) and see if I get any hits on Cruise Critic. Thanks for the tip.

I have only done Princess cruises, once to the Eastern Carribean and once to the Western Carribean. They are apparently mid pack, nice ships, offer "personal choice" dining where you can do dinner any time, a great 7x24 buffet, and more. Their standard dining was top notch IMO, but they also offer premium dining choices.
The tips above are spot on. One thing to add, a nice room is nice, but don't spend your time there, spend it in the lounges, the theatres, the pools, the exercise rooms, and on off shore excursions. I have done island tours and sea kayak excursions, but my favorites are catamaran/snorkling excursions.

Our Casino host offered it to us for $10,000 for the week. We might consider it, depending on whether we bring a nanny with us or her parents again.
From what I have read on the net, the Garden Villa suites are absolutely amazing -- the biggest suites available at sea at over 5,000 square feet. That price is only $3,000 more than we are paying for an AB Suite for 9 days -- a suite almost 10 times smaller than a Garden Villa suite.
I have read that sometimes as the cruise data approaches, you can get an "upsell" on the GV -- that is, snag it at a much much lower rate than the rack rate. I am hoping that we get that opportunity. So far, there is still one unsold GV on my cruise but given that it staddles Thanksgiving, I bet that it gets booked. But hope springs eternal.

Thanks Iceman. I signed up there yesterday under my same username that I use here. It seems likes an excellent forum for cruise newbies and vets. Our cruise is also to the Caribbean (Southern Carribbean).
Ha ha. I am already on a pretty serious diet. During my two month trial this winter, I weighed as much as 240 lbs -- heavier than I ever weighed in my life. Not surprisingly, my doctor read me the riot act. I do want to see my Victor grow up and I want to be there for him so I am trying to mend my ways when it comes to food. So far, I am down to about 215 but hope I can keep this up and get down to 190 or so. The cruise is probably going to be a major test of my willpower.

i had a balcony and it was cute. i was a little bored out of my mind, but yet again it was only one night. you should have fun in miami. i believe the dawn was the boat that was hit by that giant wave on its way back from the south a few years back. my father was on that one too..lol.. i didnt read through it all but where are you stopping along your journey?
I did a 2 week Italian cruise with them.
Had a great time. Ship was newly referbished and the crew was great.
Food was great. Drinks were pricy, but what are you going to do /shrug.
We actually got a Hadicaped room cause it was availabe since no one claimed it after the date they were locked out and got a huge HUGE estate room for the price of a single, interior room, wasn't a bad deal at all.

I think you may be on our cruise. Our cruise departs November 20th from Miami for 9 days to the Southern Caribbean. Is that your cruise?
Thanks so so much for the tips about NCL. I am going to take full advantage of the conceirge who serves the AB PH Suites to make reservations for us ASAP. We will probably do a lot of the eating in the upscale restaurants. I do think that NCL gave us a terrific rate for a 600 square foot suite with 2 bedrooms. Victor is so excited about going.
