My Ride: 2004 Silver BMW 525i, loaded w/o Nav
2007 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer, loaded w/o Nav
Well guys, as you know, the most recent G series, has matched or beaten teh 3 at every turn, but the 5 still had the edge in handling and in top HP (excluding M5) over the M. Well, the new 2011 M is raising the HP bar to 420 and they're going with a 4wheel steering system to help with handling-
Not saying it's goinna be better than the new 5 coming out- but, given the new E-Class, and now the new M- this info certainly makes one wonder what BMW has instore for the 5, if the goal is to stay in the lead.

If you refer to comparison tests from various magazines then it's all subjective. As far as performance, the stock 335i will beat any G in straight line acceleration and will be neck-to-neck in handling. If the 335i is chipped then it's not even funny.

I'm talking stock for stock.
True, the 335i may be (may be) quicker than the top line/top engined G in a straight line (not much quicker), but across the line, the other 3's are all reading G taillights & license plates.
