I don't even know where to start, but BetterMakeWay, sums it up the best in a very colorful response. I like the "lil robot" part.
Here's how interesting the race was:
- Winkelhock starts from the pit lane and ends up in 1st place. Who knew?!
- The two BMW's bump which costed them both a few positions. Clearly Nick's fault here.
- Germany hates Kimi. No, not the people, the country.
- Fernando Alonso had a spectacular performance.
- Lewis Hamilton, at his young age, is quite a sportsman. He let race leader Felipe by without putting up a fuss even with his teammate well on the charge behind Felipe.
- Speaking of Felipe, he nearly hits a debris on the road which was his very own wheel cover.
- It's clear...it's raining...it's clear...it's raining...
- The Redbull Renault's finish better than the factory Renault's with Webber getting a podium. I would have never guessed this.
A lot happened in this event. At any rate, this race was a great example of how technical an F1 race can get and how important it is to get the correct strategy. Also, this race shows how important tires are. I still sincerely believe them to be the weakest link in motorsports.

Here is how the points were distributed:
Position, Driver, Manufacturer, Points earned
1 Fernando Alonso McLaren-Mercedes 10
2 Felipe Massa Ferrari 8
3 Mark Webber Red Bull-Renault 60 6
4 Alexander Wurz Williams-Toyota 5
5 David Coulthard Red Bull-Renault 4
6 Nick Heidfeld BMW 3
7 Robert Kubica BMW 2
8 Heikki Kovalainen Renault 1
Surprise, surprise, Lewis didn't make the cut, although very close finishing at 9th. It was still fun watching him cut through the field.
David Coulthard gets the 'Afterburner Award' moving up 15 places from 20th to 5th.

Hamilton could have finished in the points, if he would not have come in the pits so early for dry weather tires. He was very lucky to get his free lap back, and then Mclaren threw it away. They got greedy.
I wish they would find some infraction with those Ferrari wheel covers. They are f**ckin ugly. I hope next year we don't have every car on the grid riding around with those hideous things.

For example i remember that bmw got banned last year for using in just one race, some vertical tower looking thingies in front of the driver, and after that race FIA found them too risky for the drivers.
If they didn't ban those wheel covers yet, i fear they never will. Ferarri used them on the rear wheels since last year and nobody said anything.
