Installed in under 30 minutes!! Tools needed: 8mm wrench and flat tip screwdriver.
pictures coming soon.

Everything is working so far.
I spoke too soon. Now it's the 2 LEDs on right side that wouldn't light up. PM'ed rmahawaii for solution.

Just got mine today, and installed in about 30 mins!

Luckily I did not have any strobing, blinking, or leds not lighting up. Everything worked once I plugged it in. Lights work properly whether engine is on or off. Maybe I got a revised one?

I have to say, it makes the rear of the e60 much better and distinctive. Pics to come.

Mine arrived yesterday, will fit them when i get car back from mstyle, also have ordered led bulbs, since only part of these lights are led, which im a bit disappointed about (turn signals, reverse and the bulb in the red circle that all the rows of leds kind of "ray" outwards from is also a normal non-led bulb. Im sure replacing these 6 bulbs (3 each side) with led bulbs will funkify things up a bit.

In the following picture why are all 5 columns of LED's the same (uniform) brightness on the left tail light but on the right tail light the outer three column of LED's are brighter than the inner two columns? Is that just the way it looks in the picture or was it actually that way in person?

I know that bright LED's are directional and can appear brighter or dimmer depending on the viewing angle, but this picture seems to be almost symmetrical, so I don't think that the minimal difference in the viewing angle should make that much of a difference in the brightness. I also assume that all 5 columns of LED's are pointing at the same angle.......if so then all 5 colums should have the same brightness unless some are being electrically driven at a higher voltage/current. So it seems like the outer 3 columns are actually shining brighter and not just appearing to be brighter because of the angle.

It's just the angle when photo was taken. The LEDs are awesome!
