I agree with you but these points should comfort you:
1) ec glass - you don't have these with replicas
2) this is a group buy - if your ass gets kicked, you are not alone
3) doc has recommended 530dA - he has bought mirrors from him, so I expect a certain quality
4) the pics here that 530dA posted were OEM worthy

Technially speaking the OEM mirrors are NOT "BMW OEM" but only "OEM" bucause the mirrors get manufactured and produced by a Tier 1 Automotive supplier called Magna, and you can see their logos (a M) together with BMW logos on some of the pics that 530dA posted. Let us put it this way - these mirrors get assembled in m5/m6 cars in the bmw factory in sindolfingen - that is how much OEM they are

Did you think BMW make's turboloaders???
I've got a brandnew OEM turbo for my car manufactured by GARRETT and not by BMW..
But the quality is according BMW Specs, just like the //M mirrors, brake's ( Brembo, Jurid, Textar, Ferrodo)

and another point - customs in the US??? is that a problem? Half of the mods you guys order comes from Taiwan. Even with 20% customs and 120 USD for shipping, you are still way cheaper than any replica or dealer...
